COOLSAT 4000 / 5000 / 6000 Support is soon to be Finished

This is off the OFFICIAL COOLSAT USA WEBSITE ..


We will not be honoring warranties for Coolsat 6000 on end-user purchases with receipts dated after October 31st 2007. The Coolsat 6000 is a discontinued model and there is a prevalent problem with clone units on the internet. All authorized dealers should stop selling Coolsat 6000 after October 31st 2007. For more information email sales@coolsatusa .com. This policy also affects our previous models Coolsat 4000 and Coolsat 5000.

This is the Reason why you DO NOT SEE BINS coming out for these 3 model coolsats ..

THE 4k has been out of warranty for a long time , and still get support (well up untill know)
Know the 5&6k are included...I dont think they mint support...go back and read it again...

Funny it should say that in regards to support.....because NorW just posted that the fix for cs4000Pro units will be out tomorrow. So while slow...seems to me like supporting in in regards to a fix has nothing to do with support in regards to warranty issues as stated in the original post.....

I dont believe CoolSat USA speaks for NorW.....they may continue to support in regards to fixes because they care about the end user more than lets say the supplier cares about it...they just want to sell new systems...while the support for fixes just cares that we can watch TV......so i find them different...

There are many other receivers that aren't made any more that still have files made for them.
I think there will be bins for a while longer.

Well that statment came from Coolsat but they don't make the bins for them, Norw group does and I guess they decided that they will continue to make the bins for those models.
