XM Satellite Radio has a weekend offer World Series fans in Chicago can't refuse.
To celebrate the first game of the 2005 World Series, between the Chicago White Sox and Houston Astros, XM will offer a free satellite radio to every fan who enters U.S. Cellular Field in the Windy City for the big event this Saturday. The giveaway will be the largest in the 102-year history of the World Series, the company said.
Every ticket holder will receive a coupon good for a free Delphi XM RoadyXT satellite radio (which sells for $79.99), plus a World Series commemorative pin attached to the coupon, when they arrive for the game.
Houston fans could also be part of the free giveaway mix. If the World Series goes to a fifth game, XM will extend the free Roady XT offer to ticket holders at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
XM will carry live coverage of World Series games. The company is the official satellite radio network of Major League Baseball.
