First of all let me thank everyone who gave me advise. I received my receiver last night. I set it up this morning. It took me about 20 minutes but I finally got it to work.

The problem is that I cannot see 7 days worth of EPG. In the menu it is set at "on" for stand-by-mode but I went throught the steps in the How-To-Guide that was provided in here. I am only able to see about 3 hours ahead.

BTW, I have a Sonicview 4000.

Any thoughts?

I put it on channel 2214 which was citytv for about 5-6 minutes. I was mistaken in my first port. I could see up until Monday at 12pm. Anything after that says No Information. Nothing has changed. I still can't see anything past 2 days. Mind you, 2 days us fine, I was just wondering why I could not see the 7 days.

Thanks

Try turning the power off with the remote for 15 mins or so and turn back on, should fix it.

Thanks for all the help guys. I attached my receiver to another tv in another room and since I did that, I can only see 1.5 hours ahead. I tried turning it off for about 5 minutes and still nothing changed. I will try to turn it off for 15 minutes and will let you know what happens.

It is great that you guys are willing to help us "newbies". Thanks!

The EPG guide can NOT fill up if you've selected "All SAT" from the SAT LIST button.

To get a 7-Day Guide on Dish 110 and 119, press the SAT button on your remote.
Highlight "Dish Package" and press "OK".
If you don't have both 110 and 119, then select the Dish Sat that you do have.
Exit out of the menu and Press the Guide button.
Let it sit on that channel for a few minutes.
The longer it sits, the more EPG will fill up, 7-Days max.

To get a 2-Day Guide on BEV, press the SAT button on your remote.
Highlight "BEV package"
If you don't have both both 82 and 91, then select the BEV Sat that you do have.
Exit out of the menu and Press the Guide button.
leave it sit on that channel for a few minutes.
The longer it sits, the more EPG will fill up, 2-3 Days max.

Also, it can not fill the BEV EPG while watching Dish and vice-versa.The EPG fills GUIDE data ONLY from the provider you are watching.
