Can somebody check my user permissions? seems I don't have access to anything - for example, I can't post in half the threads (if not more) and can't view attachments (ie/: the pics of the IRD squid posted) anybody else have this problem posting ?

ok ill get the guys to check into this.. I havent touch anything in a long as time, but anyhow i will lookinto ths.. Now if your trying to access a part of the site, that is consider private, than you will get no permission area.. but ill get the guys on this..
Guys I checked each of your permissions. I checked individual permissions no problems detected there. I checked your usergroup permissions and I did not find anything wrong there either. I also checked your forums permissions and I did not find anything wrong there either. My conclusion is it is something on your end. Log out and check your security permissions and clear or reset your cookies and clear your history. Close your browser and then open it back up and log back in.

i believe the problem is your usergroup setting does not allow regular mortals like myself to post in the site news area, where the attachments for squid's ird is posted..... I viewed attachments of the privatesoftware board that are posted in the Rumours section...... but can't do it (or post/reply) to squid in Site News...
obviously, not trying to access "private" area,s only what is visible to us... but check that we can view attachments in all forums...... or we get this:
ryehigh, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Thanks ryehigh. Your last post was more clear and precise as to what the issues were. The way you initially posted your difficulties made it seem like you could not access anything as you had originally stated.
But as Gizz has stated there are restrictions in place on certain forums and it just happens that the news forum is one of those forums that has restrictions in place. Next time we will make sure that the info is placed in the correct forum for all to view.
