Just a heads up. I loaded the 143 and tried several different methods and the bin causes rebooting (on its own or if you use the remote) Also if you zere the keys it will not A/R for either provider.

On my 4000 the bin did not work. I turned off autoroll and entered current keys, the channels returned. I then turned on autoroll again to see if keys roll themselves with the next change. I remember when bin 1.42 came out I had to do the same thing. You may want to try what I did. The Pudge

You have to Factory Reset as the bin causes the receiver to flash on/off. Of course this means you also have to do a new auto scan and it will correct the problem(s). Until you are prepared to do a new scan, just go back to the 1.42 and input keys manually. Bin's fine but like we all used to say before for other bins "do a factory reset", most of the time we didn't actually need to. Of course if you have any missing channels or things have been moved around (which does happen from time to time), doing a new scan is often a good thing.

Meirda, when I installed new bin 1.43 the first thing I did was do factory reset; this activates the bin I am assuming. I am having the rebooting problem as well; the first time I have had this problem. Do you mean we should factory set again and autoscan? Will this not affect bin 1.43? Or do you mean redownload bin from computer? Thanks. The Pudge

seems to be having the same problem for some with the 142 aswell try this and if not go back to last know working bin and manually enter keys till new fix.
1. Do factory set (Menu->System Setting->Database Reset->Factory Set)
2. Load factory bin (coolsat4000_120_20050117.stb)
3. Do Factory set again
4. Load the 143 BIN
5. Do another Factory set
6. Setup your dish settings
7. Setup sat options
7. Auto Scan sats (turn off network search to speed up sat scan)
8. Set time settings and channel lock.
9. Turn on Autoroll (Menu->Autoroll Options->EchoStar Autoroll=on, B3V Autoroll=on, Autoroll in EPG=ON)
10.Enter new key manually (Press 8282)
11.Saved and exit done.
Sit and enjoy your programs again
