c/p Read this else where and thought others may want to read interesting ploy....

WARNING: Wolves in Sheeps' Clothing

We are asking all dss forum administrators to take immediate action to protect their members from Echostar informants and employees.
Forum administrators are asked to carefully review any "negative" or dissenting posts in their forums. e.g. dissenting posts about the prospects of glitching higher ROM cards, posts about Pansat releasing source code, posts about enigma card cpu / source code, posts about buying a cloned FTA box instead of original, posts about atmega not fast enough, and in general, any posts that try to discourage members/testers from making progess on cardless IRD hacks by using internal mods. They also are very friendly and dripping with good will.
What you will find in almost every case is that the poster's IP address originates from Englewood, Colorado or Denver, Colorado. These people are Echostar employees.
The purpose of these posts by Echostar is two fold. First, they want to discourage testers from using technology that they are having a very hard time defeating. Second, they want to appear as "heros" to the community in order to gain the trust of coders, site administrators and moderators who they plan to take legal action against.
Folks, this is for real. They have arrested some prominent coders already, such as satFTA for simply knowing too much about their technology. Have a look at satFTA's last thread at id-discussions - he was working on reversing the decoder of their latest cardless IRD and some asswipe from Echostar was trying to cloud the project with dissenting remarks. satFTA accused him of being an Echostar employee and a few months later his house was searched by the FBI and he was charged criminally.

It is quite astonishing how many IP addresses are originating from Englewood, Colorado.

The community needs to rally around the coders and techies who work hard to reverse engineer echostar IRDs and glitch into their cams and encourage their work. At the same time, the forum admins need to take appropriate actions to protect the coders and ban members who try to disrupt the development of new technology.

Echostar is losing the battle. Lets make sure they lose the war, too.

No I haven't. I'm hoping they will see it soon.

Earlier, I did run across a post that raised my eyebrow's. I hadn't run across this info yet (the c&p but when I did, I knew it should be posted here) but I did respond appropriately.
