Did you know that 47 countries have re-established their embassies in Iraq?

Did you know that the Iraqi government employs 1.2 million Iraqi people?

Did you know that 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools are under rehabilitation, 263 schools are now under construction and 38 new schools have been built in Iraq?

Did you know that Iraq's higher educational structure consists of 20 Universities, 46 Institutes or colleges and 4 research centers?

Did you know that 25 Iraq students departed for the United States in January 2004 for the re-established Fulbright program?

Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is operational? They have 5- 100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels and a naval infantry regiment.

Did you know that Iraq's Air Force consists of three operational squadrons, 9 reconnaissance and 3 US C-130 transport aircraft which operate day and night, and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and 4 bell jet rangers?

Did you know that Iraq has a counter-terrorist unit and a Commando Battalion?

Did you know that the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000 fully trained and equipped police officers?

Did you know that there are 5 Police Academies in Iraq that produce over 3500 new officers each 8 weeks?

Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on in Iraq? They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities.

Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age of 5 have received the first 2 series of polio vaccinations?

Did you know that 4.3 million Iraqi children were enrolled in primary school by mid October?

Did you know that there are 1,192,000 cell phone subscribers in Iraq and phone use has gone up 158%?

Did you know that Iraq has an independent media that consist of 75 radio stations, 180 newspapers and 10 television stations?

Did you know that the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened in June of 2004?

Did you know that 2 candidates in the Iraqi presidential election had a recent televised debate recently?

OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW!

WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW? OUR MEDIA DOESN'T TELL US!

Whether because of a Bush hating media or political sour grapes, it would seem they would rather see the world blow up than lose their power.

Instead of shouting these accomplishments from every rooftop, they would rather show photo's of what a few perverted malcontent soldiers have done in prisons in many cases never disclosing the circumstances surrounding the events.

Instead of showing our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at presidential motorcades.

The lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves only one purpose. It undermines the world's perception of the United States and our soldiers.

I AM ASHAMED OF MY FELLOW AMERICANS WHO WOULD RATHER SEE TERRORISM SUCCEED THAN A PRESIDENT NOT OF THEIR CHOOSING SEEM TO GET CREDIT.

The facts and figures above are verifiable on the Department of Defense web site.
Now lets hear about how bad we are this is all proven not my guess all facts
so give G.W. a little credit

I'll take that one, Gizz has been very outspoken toward the war, I not saying he wouldn't agree that all these things are good things, he just never would have gone in the first place to make them happen.

and frankly, I'm not sure he would agree that these things are worth lives....

but to each his own....

Ok, free speech it is. I could care less with people that could care less about other human lives!!!! As I've said before, if we go in there, "finish the job & get out". Again, nothing was accomplished & we still have our soldiers over there. Wonder why I hate politics????

How can you say NOTHING was accomplished???? you may not agree with what is going on an that is your right as far as im concerned no matter what country you live in. its you right as a person this is why i said freespeach you got to love it even when you dont like it. But to set there an say NOTHING was accomplished i just dont see it. was it worth the lives lost ??? thats a Q? every person has to ask him/herself. when my brother-in-law gets back from his 2nd trip over there, both of which were voluntery, i will ask him to come on here an tell his story of the bad that was done over there. as far as our soldiers being over there? we have soldiers located at just about any conflict we (the US) have been in over the last 50 years. so yes there will be a force there for a while.

i manage to get on today, and saw this. . The things you listed above on what was done, is old news. That has been posted a year ago or so.. yes things have been done, but they could have done most if not all of that on there own. It was there vote that put suddan in office, and they got what they wanted. You know it took us a few days to topple his country, with what little we had, but they could have done the same on there own. When suddan was capture, hell was lose and people was rampaging the streets, and commiting other crimes. Makes us wonder, did suddan did it for the fact of his people are that stupid, or to help keep them inline. Suddan posed no threat to the States or to any other country, even befor 9-11. So why did we topple a country that could have topple it self if the people was so tired of suddan government. The news about bombings on our troops is hard to take, as i still have friends and relitives over there as well, and was not volunteer, they was force as they are full time army. Remember they are protecting there country, we are a vistior to there land, and they are dong what we would do if they come and try to take over our land. Plus the fact that most of the al-quda leaders are eather saudi or living in afganistan, not in iraq.. and soon we will be taking over iran because they are producing nuclear plant for power. Bush got us in deep shit, and now he cant figure out how to dig his ass out of his hole.. I dont hate bush, just hate his politics... and his politics just cost us nearly 2000 (est) troops dead, from the last numbers. Yes we do have other wars among the rest, and they have yet to shed light on those wars. Reason this one is in the spot light, simply because we went in with wrong intelligince, no plan on how to get out, ect.. AP has reporte that the G8 summit was to figure out a way to get our economy back on track and the number one thing was the price of gas. 4 out of the 10 most rich countries agree to lower the gas prices, and guess what.. bush was not voting to lower, he was agreeing with the prices as they are now. Hmmm i wonder why.....So to answer the main question, was it all worth the lives.. from my brother-in-law, the answer wasnt no.. it was HELL NO! i have to agree...
